It was Archduck McGanza's, "famous Egyptologist" who was also Count Duckula's great-uncle's great uncle, lifelong ambition to find this treasured object.

Igor recounts the legend of the Mystic Saxophone to Count Duckula. According to Igor, the Mystic Saxophone used to belong to the pharaoh Zutenkamun the seventeenth. The legend says that anyone who plays the Mystic Saxophone hold power over life or death. Count Duckula wants to use the saxophone to become a famous musician but Igor hopes that the saxophone will lead Duckula not to "a life of stardom but to a life of evil".
