She is the self proclaimed "greatest female spy" from Thrushia. Like Dr. Von Goosewing, she also usually trying to destroy Count Duckula.

Appearance

Vatsa has white feathers and black curly hair, and a small yellow beak. She does not have one standard outfit, as she wears different disguise in every appearance, though she typically wears red dresses.

It is never stated what bird species she is, but she may be a Thrush, as she comes from Thrushia. Thrushia being portmanteau of Thrush and Russia.

Trivia

  • She can speak Russian as shown in issue 6.
  • Unlike Dr. Von Goosewing, Vatsa prefers to use actual guns with lead bullets in all her appearances instead of stake-based inventions.
  • Her surname likely a reference to Mata Hari, a Dutch exotic dancer who was convicted of being a spy for Germany during World War I. The name later became of notable use in femme fatale archetypes in popular culture.
