Ruby Wax OBE (née Wachs[1]; born April 19th 1953)[2] is an American-British actress, comedian, writer, television presenter, and mental health campaigner. A classically-trained actress, Wax co-starred on the ITV sitcom Girls on Top (1985–1986), and came to prominence as a comic interviewer, playing up to British perceptions of the strident American style on television programmes including The Full Wax (1991–1994), Ruby Wax Meets... (1994–1998), Ruby (1997–2000), and The Ruby Wax Show (2002).[3][4] She was a script editor for the BBC sitcom Absolutely Fabulous (1992–2012), also appearing in two episodes.

Wax voiced Laura in "Igor's Busy Day", the Check-In Girl at the Airport in "Hi-Duck", Miss Bettina Bott in "Prime-Time Duck", Miss Von Boodle in "Bloodsucking Fruit Bats of the Lower Amazon", Princess Rana in "Bombay Duck", Luscious Lullabelle in "Dead Eye Duck", Zizi L'Amour in "Manhattan Duck", and a Rich Fan Club Girl in "Alps-A-Daisy".
